There's a very good buyer's guide somewhere. I'll have a look for it.
Here you go!

Hi and welcome.

The F/TF is closer to the MR2 than the MX5 having mid engine and rear drive.

Good luck with the search.

Well sadly my TF experience has been very short. I test drove the 160, which had its pros and cons (it wasn't the best example I fear, the mould on the inside of the hood, damp patches in the interior and rusty sills were offputting, but the engine was cracking!) but it threw up one huge potential problem with TF ownership; I don't fit! No matter what I did with the seat, I had to hunch down to fit, and even then my bonce was pushed up against the frame of the hood. Driving any kind of distance I think would have left my spine permanently realigned, and not in a good way.

So no TF for me!

You can get lowering springs to fit to the seat frame - which lower it a couple of inches - pretty sure some tall people here have fitted them.

The trick is, that you drop the roof and leave it down......all the head room you could ever need!

I'm 6.2" and fitted in OK maybe you need to adopt the low rider position, your head might fit near the window if you try harder :)
