Average of 36.8mph for my 1998 1.8VVC & I have a heavy foot. :spank: Well, once you change the air filter & put in a 52 mm throttle body you want to hear that noise don't you?
This isn't a dress rehearsal, this is LIFE, enjoy!!

We will all be green one day.

Daytona with twin pipes?

It's possible, in which case it would cost the earth. £400 plus for a new one. However, it may just be dual tail pipe finishers which can be added to any dual piped exhaust. So, just adding a bling finish to a cheaper exhaust with quad tail pipe finishers might be a better option for you. :yesnod:

It just won't sound as good as a daytona.

Does anyone have a MGF that looks like this one

And if so would you be available somewhere in the South East for a couple of hours one day, for a little bit of filming?

If so, would you mind emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

thanks!

Would have thought Tahiti Blue would not be hard to find an MGF in that colour. That's what it looks like to me from the photo anyway. The problem might be the wheels as many people swap them for ones they prefer oh yes and the black interior. Looking on the "MGF/TF Community Map" I see two in the southern area in Kent it seems.

Not wishing to push you onto other forums but perhaps asking of them may provide the assist you need.

Sorry but my own Tahiti Blue is a Mk1 so it does not look like that Mk2 version;-

Right colour though.

Wrong wheels and interior colour.

Suppose these wheels are nearer in look but still not the same.

Wrong colour indicators and she now has a splitter but this is only bolted on.

However the black windscreen surround would of course remain. Must get some more photos to show as she is now with exhaust replaced etc.

We're looking to film it at night, on the side of the road, indicators on, as if it's broken down, so it doesnt need to be an exact match... basically anyone who can spare an evening :)

So, despite all my technical difficulties I made it to the rolling road challenge! Firstly thanks for all your help. I couldn't get the car serviced in time, but the over heating seems to be sorted (got stuck on the M25 today and it was fine).

The car did well. I got measured at 127 hp, out of a potential 145(?). Need to sort out a service, new exhaust and a few other bits and then we're good to go I reckon.

Was great to meet David and James, your cars did really well. Not sure you get a mention in the blog as I don't think they got any pictures of you :( Although you did do some filming, didn't you?

Would be great to hear what you thought of the day and us, hopefully we're not too scary :)

Anyway, you can read all about it, from my post here:
