Greetings.
Time to break radio silence.
I registered in Dec last year, having met rog1963 in Tesco's carpark in Wadebridge, and have been following the 'doings' of you all on this fabulous site (gratuitous grovelling now over) ever since.
I will follow the routine of uploading some pics of my beloved MY2000, Gold MGF 'drekley' as they say down here in Cornwall.
My question for the forum is. How do I find or get a replacement Emergency Key Access code? Mine was not present with any of the documentaion I got with the car. This train of thought has been prompted by the thread on changing key fob batteries and I wondered what on earth I would do if I couldn't get my MG stared.
Anyway rambling over. Any help welcomed.

Hi
not got a clue but welcome to the forum and I await the Gurus response and how too with interest as this is something else I had stored on the old laptop and lost

Never waste your time trying to change other people's opinion of you. They'll think what they want regardless, so just be yourself and be happy

Welcome... at last.

You could try this. Clickety click. But it has a fee that goes with it. Not sure how much.

My niece asked afterwards if it 's a normal occurance for complete strangers to come up to me and say 'Congratulations' as an opening to a conversation. She had you down as a nutter!

Like most 14 yr olds, she wasn't best pleased at being kept hanging around the car park listening to car talk when there was serious Xmas shopping (for her present) to be done.

Anyway, Great to see someone else living in Cornwall on here and hope to bump into you again soon ... or maybe dreckly

Hi Rog.

Thanks for the contact and I'm sorry I kept your nice away from her Christmas prezzy. Did she get what she wanted?

BTW who do you use to service/repair your TF. My F is about due and I could do with a good bloke.

Hope to see you around.

Hi Shutts.
Bought her a camera from Jessops in the end. I'm favourite uncle for the time being.

Not too sure who to recommend locally for MG as I haven't really used anyone since I've had mine. (apart from water pump)
I've previously used the VW centre in Wadebridge (down behind cinema) for other cars Ive owned, but wasn't convinced they knew a lot about MGs when i took it in for the water pump just after I bought the car ... Also seem to be getting a bit expensive.
Bridge End always gets great reviews but always seem busy. I asked for a qoute for a service a while back and they never rang back.
The garage opposite the library (on your left as you approach co op car park) has always dealt with Rovers so might be an option. No experience of them myself.
A chap who comes into work has recommended Quay garage (Padstow) and has said how good they are and a very reasonable labour rate too. I haven't used yet so would hate to comment but that's who I will try when I next need help.
..... maybe you could be the guinea pig?
According to receipts that came with car, it had always been serviced at Dales (just off A30 at Scorrier turn off)
and the head gasket was done by Garage Co Ltd at Quintrell Downs ... and 25000 miles later it is still holding together, so they must know a thing or two
Best of luck.
Rog

You two Cornish pasties could book Russell of MGRover solutions to come and service/ whatever both your cars. He can supply EKA codes as well as all his other services.
