Has anyone replaced the Pipe assembly-engine coolant heater to engine rail, if so how difficult was it?
My concern is that it fits to the rear of the engine block well down below the bulkhead between the engine bay and boot – access seems very restricted indeed. How dose the pipes fit to the enginge?
The existing pipes are corrodedwith rust although there is no sign of leakage of coolant.
Any comments or advise would be very much appreciated.

Pictures of our new (Owned it 3 weeks) TF clean MG-Rover.org Forums - MGF and MGTF (Sponsored by MGF Mania) ![]() Only owned it for 3 weeks ago as a non runner (Head gasket gone) but in that time we have done the head gasket (3 layer + shim one), full service inc cambelt and water pump, 2 new rear tires and just given it a good clean (Still want to machine polish it at some point).
Just need to get the tracking checked and sort the rattly instrument binnacle.
Anyway down to the pictures (Will get some top down ones soon) :D

Hi,
I have just had the insurance renewal quote for the TF. Its insured fully comp including business use for me and my wife with protected no claims. Last year the cost was £236. now its gone down by £12 to £224. Its not restricted to low milegae and the excess is only £250. What a bargain. Its with Swiftcover. The only thing I don't know about is how good they are if I need to make a claim but so far my dealings with them have been prompt and helpful.
I guess this will make some of the... Read more... |

I just returned back from a trip to California and spent the first half of the week driving around in my 1996 MGF and attending a British Car Show called North meets South. The event was put together by the Paradise British Car Club but we were the only attendees from Paradise albeit 6000 miles away!!
The event was held in Pismo Beach,California which is on the coast between San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The car show was held at a 2000 acre private ranch just east of Pismo Beach - quite a beautiful location.
To my surprise the oraganizers entered the F... Read more... |
